V-Mail

This is a copy of a V-MAIL postmarked July 12, 1945. This V-MAIL was sent to Victor’s sister and her family in Minnesota. It had been kept in their family long after his sister, Jenny, passed away. The letter was written on July 4, 1945. You can see the “Censor’s Stamp” at the top left of the letter. The letter was 4″x 5″ in size and was a copy of a letter that was originally typed and signed by Victor vertically along the bottom, left side.
