National Flag Day

June 14th is set aside for National Flag Day. It was established by President Woodrow Wilson on May 30, 1916. It was signed as an Act of Congress on August 3, 1949 by Harry Truman.

“On Flag Day and during National Flag Week, we celebrate and honor our Nation’s lasting emblem, our great American Flag Since the Second Continental Congress adopted its design more than 200 years ago, the Stars and Stripes has been a powerful symbol of freedom, hope, and opportunity.” – The White House

The American Flag represents ALL Americans and the resolve of freedom and price paid by our service men and women who defend our freedoms.
